What do the SimpleRisk Status mean?
This FAQ provides a brief overview of the default statuses in SimpleRisk and what each one signifies. While this section focuses on the standard statuses available, you have the flexibility to customize them according to your needs. To add, change, or remove any of these statuses, simply navigate to the Configure menu on the left side, then select Add and Remove Values. From there, choose the Status field at the top, and you can make the necessary edits.
The default status are:
Closed - The "Closed" status indicates that a risk has been resolved. In most reporting scenarios, this risk will be excluded from calculations, unless including it is relevant to the report's context.
Mgmt Reviewed - This status is automatically assigned following a management review, typically conducted by executives or business leaders.
Mitigation Planned - When a mitigation strategy is first submitted for a risk, it automatically changes to "Mitigation Planned."
New - This status signifies that a risk has just been created, and no further actions have been taken in its life cycle.
Reopened - A "Reopened" status indicates that a previously closed risk has been reactivated.
Treated - This status, which is not automatically set, signifies that the risk has been addressed or treated.
Untreated - In contrast, this status indicates that the risk remains unaddressed or untreated.
